The Chronicle has reported that John Anderson has come out and stated that the mess at NUFC needs to be sorted out quickly, if not it would mean a longer stay in the Championship for us.
"It needs to be sorted very, very quickly. They (Ashley and Llambias) have made a complete mess of the club from top to bottom from day one. They don’t have a clue. They need an owner, they need a manager, they need to get pre-season sorted out. The first-team is back for pre-season on July 1 and then it's only a few weeks to the start of the season. It needs sorting very, very quickly."
It is a very frank assessment of the club, and with the start of pre-season fast approaching and with the rudderless ship sinking to new depths by the day, Ashley and Llambias have to wake up and stop smelling the flowers, and for once in their tenure, care about the fans.
NUFC fans have gone through much worse, such as the close relegation to the old third division, but at least back then, with Keegan coming in under Sir John Hall, at least the fans knew that the club was going forward. Right now, we are sinking to new depths and we do not know when this whole Cashley farce will end.
John added:
Many have likened us to do a Leeds United, and right now there are many contradicting reports on the financial state of NUFC. One thing is for sure: with our large wage bill, and with contracts not having a relegation wage drop clause, chances are our wage bill will still be larger than most Premier League clubs and is unsustainable in the Championship.

"People have said they will fly back out of the Championship, but other big clubs have gone down and not got out of it."
Just to name a few clubs that have gone down and never come up: Norwich, Southampton, Charlton, Leicester, and the case that has been covered quite extensively in the newspapers of yesteryear, Leeds United. Many have likened us to do a Leeds United, and right now there are many contradicting reports on the financial state of NUFC.
