Mike Ashley - not fit to wear NUFC coloursThis news comes one day after Mike Ashley listed publicly for offers to be sent by email. According to the report, the group will keep Shearer on as manager, and currently has links to other Premier League clubs.
We hope that this news is true as we all know that with the email bidding, fake offers can be sent in raising the hopes of NUFC supporters before sending them back down to earth, like how Bernie Madoff killed off our hopes last season.
If this news is true, it would be excellent for NUFC, as firstly Cashley will be out of our club, secondly, with existing ties with a current Premier League Club, a possible link can be established between NUFC and that Premier League Club, providing some players on loan, and lastly, Alan Shearer will become the new manager of Newcastle United. We have no other choice other than Alan that is better right now, and definitely we hope that if he takes the job, he will do a Keegan (not walk out on the club but get us promoted).
