There are 2 or 3 parties that are interested in buying NUFC.
Keith Harris, appointed by Mike Ashely to handle the sale of the club, has said on RadioFive Live Sportsweek that there are potential buyers
"There is real and decent interest, this is not necessarily from far flung parts of the globe and those expressing interest when it was first marketed but this is good, gritty interest."
NUFC remains an attractive club to purchase, especially to investors as it has a large stadium, and our average attendance over the last season was more than Liverpool. Yes, the Liverpool that was in the Champions League and the Liverpool that finished 2nd. We can only hope that despite the high price of season tickets as compared to other Championship clubs, we can continue to have such attendances. One can only recall how packed St James' Park was when Keegan took over back in 1992. And WE WANT THAT AGAIN!
We hope that this news is true, and what we want is not some billionaire or a Roman Abrahamovic, but a true blue Geordie lover, someone who has the fate of the club as the first priority. After all, look what a former billionaire like Mike Ashley has done to our club.
