Freddy Shepard plots return

Freddy Shepard has met up with Alan Shearer to discuss what will happen should Freddy Shepard succeed in buying the club.
Former NUFC Chairman Freddy Shepard

The Guardian has reported that Freddy Shepard is leading a consortium and planning a return as the chairman, and his interest is serious enough for Alan Shearer to meet up with him.

According to the report, should Freddy Shepard reclaim his place as Chairman, he will appoint Alan Shearer as the manager as NUFC try to obtain promotion back into the BPL.

One stumbling block is that Ashley and Llambias doubt that Freddy Shepard has £100million they request and are cautious about this deal.

Freddy Shepard has made many offensive comments about Newcastle and our fans, and is not very well liked up in the North East. His previous tenure brought about the managers such as Ruud Gullit, Sam Allardyce, Graeme Souness, but we cannot deny that one of the more successful managers was also appointed by him, the great Sir Bobby Robson.

The NUFC fans are now really located between a rock and a hard place.
