The Times has reported that NUFC has issued a statement from the board that NUFC is for sale for £100million.
"The board of Newcastle United can today confirm that the club is for sale at the price of £100million. Interested parties should contact Newcastle United at admin@nufc.co.uk (or Keith Harris at Seymour Pierce) for further details. The club will not be making any further comment at the present time."
We hope that this sale goes through quickly, because right now we are approximately 1 month behind other championship clubs in preparing for the new season ahead. But at £100million, would any consortiums be interested in us, considering that other championship clubs can be purchased for less. We do hope that Mike Ashley would stop driving the club into the ground and complete the sale quickley. Even if he sells the club at a lower price.
