This would slightly reduce the value of the club, and Ashley may be desperate to sell the club before the payment.
One thing that is really unfathomable is how a relegated squad gets £10million in bonuses. If I didn't do my job, chances are I will be sacked from my post. This is the crazy world of football. We do hope that this is a good omen, that the scrooge will sell up quickly in order to get the bang for his buck, and we can concentrate on the new season ahead.
